Built in 1882, but inactive from 1953-1985. The 60 foot tall round spark plug style cast iron tower incorporates a three story keeper's quarters and is mounted on a concrete and cast iron caisson. The lantern is a modern 200 mm optic and the light signal is a white flash every 4 seconds. The lighthouse was sold into private hands and then resold multiple times. It remains in private hands, but sorely in need of repair and maintenance.
