I love the confidence, she looks like she's ready to take on... whatever task she needs to take on! I also really like the bold lines used above her head, and with different colors too! Very street-art.
At its essence, a sketchbook page should provide insight into a student’s ideas and intentions, as well as revealing the influence of other artists. This A Level Art sketchbook page is beautiful in its simplicity: devoid of all superfluous decoration, it shows a dedicated and committed student learning a technique from an artist and then carefully applying this to original artwork.
Howard Tangye: I love the way Howard uses mixed media within his figurative drawings such as acrylic, oil pastel, pen and pencil to create a layered yet simple effect. He manages to make his drawings expressive whilst making the figures look fragile, similar to that of Egon Schiele.
'Whitechapel x' Gillian Wearing One of my favourite Wearing pieces. There are individuals that we look to for help, authority and control. We would never stop to think that they might not feel in control themselves.
