The pearl has a fascinating history so to be renamed #Peregrina:50.6carats mounted on a necklace of rubies, diamonds & pearls, it was discovered in Panama in the16th Century to King Philip II of Spain by the governor. It was raised by queens who occupied the throne of Spain.In1808 when Bonaparte sent it to his wife Julia Clary in Paris.In1969 La Peregrina was auctioned in the USA: the Spanish Royal House deny the authenticity of the gem.
