The potential impacts of getting procurement wrong in business are numerous (and that's not just the bits that Procurement have responsibility for). This board illustrates the things that can and have happened, and reminds organisations to put procurement processes, policies and risk assessments in place that are rigorous enough to mitigate against these potential outcomes. Everyone involved in the stories here thought it would never happen to them, and thought they had everything covered. Yes things will go wrong, there's just a lot that can be done to avoid them, rather than regretting decisions made, corners cut, assessments not undertaken, or even lives lost.
