Alexander Calder, Lawnton (1898-1976). Kinetic sculptor. Wire sculpture. Pupils could create continuous line drawings of animals and create wire sculptures from the drawings after practicing making different shapes from wire: spirals, squares, zig zags.
Sandra Meech - This piece is very good because the background is made of very random colours and patterns which makes the black outline of the building look very bold and stand out which the stitching also helps with.
Howard Tangye: I love the way Howard uses mixed media within his figurative drawings such as acrylic, oil pastel, pen and pencil to create a layered yet simple effect. He manages to make his drawings expressive whilst making the figures look fragile, similar to that of Egon Schiele.
