Just like French has their pastry we Bangladeshis has our very own pastry section which we call "Pitha" in our mother tongue.The flour we use to make Pitha is rice flour. The Pitha you can see in the picture is basically a rice flour doughnut which is very often spiced using whole nigella seeds or fennel seeds. I happen to use nigella seeds in mine. And this Pitha is known in various names in various parts of my country like, Teler Pitha,Malpua,Pua Pitha and e.t.c.... #KitchenTantrums
