Krishna's Butterball, Mamallapuram, India ---- On the other side of the Mahabalipuram beach, is a particular rock that catches your eye. It's a popular tourist spot for picture taking, but for the local kids the hillside is a great natural slide. Legend has it that the Pallava rulers attempted to move the boulder with help of elephants, but to no avail. A brief distance from the Butterball is the Ganesha Mandapam, a temple etched out of a single rock.

Tourist attraction in Mamallapuram (also spelled Mahabalipuram), India. The boulder sits precariously on a slope, seemingly impervious to the laws of physics. And perhaps to the laws of geology.

Botany Bay, Kent This is the most northerly of Broadstairss beaches, and perhaps the prettiest – a 660ft curve of sand backed by white cliffs, with chalk stacks, rock pools and safe swimming. At low tide you can walk to Joss Bay, Kents best surf beach.
