RELIEF salmon seiner

This small oval painting shows a wooden salmon seiner bucking through a moderate sea on her way to a fishing area. The large seine net drum on her stern is typical of a Puget Sound seiner. In Alaska the seine net must be pulled aboard with a power-block and stacked on deck by hand.
