MACKIE'S CORNER: An unused, undated postcard but obviously the early 1900s. Immediate right, the entrance to the north end of the Railway Station. Apparently Todds sold blankets, gloves and furs. Opposite Todds, Walkers Opticians and Jewellers. Adjacent to them, J.Coopers and Sons Boots and Shoes Shop. Their trademark was a beehive which can be seen on the corner of the third storey of the building level with and to the right of the word "Sons"

16) Raphael Tuck No. 1658. By artist Parsons Norman. Two men in boat in foreground with coal barge and two paddle steamers in the river. Dated? It helps to know that 'Parsons Norman' seems to be, in full, George Parsons Norman (1840-1914). A similar card, in a larger size, can be seen by clicking the image.
