Star Names!

I can't take credit for this one. I got this idea from Fountas and Pinnell's Kindergarten Phonics book, and I LOVE it! It is one that I truly look forward to every year. Prep for this activity is simple. Get some large construction paper and write each child's name in medium sized letters.

Draw a letter on a pin board and have children push the pins in correct order to form the letters. (Could write numbers and even draw arrows to show letter formation sequence.) Great for fine motor skill development and letter formation and recognition Preschool Literacy, Preschool Letters, Learning Letters, Alphabet Activities, Early Literacy, Literacy Activities, Kids Learning, Fine Motor Activities For Kids, Fine Motor Skills Development
