Northern Inuit Dog Puppy
Two in one day! We met two of these puppies in the same day at the Royal Norfolk show. This one is a twenty week old with bi-eyes - had quite a tumble with Wolfy! 'Northern Inuit Dogs' are a recent British-made breed, not yet recognised by the Kennel Club as a registered breed. They are an attempt (not the only one!) to create a more wolf-like dog breed. The founding stock were allegedly sled dog stock imported from Canada and Alaska, crossed with Siberian Huskies, Malamutes, and strangely…
The Utonagan (or Northern Inuit) gets its name from an old Chinook Indian tale and means ‘spirit of the wolf’. This breed is designed to look like a wolf but without the wild blood to ruin its temperament. As a relatively young breed, this dog is still being developed. They are a cross between Alaskan Malamutes, Siberian Huskies and German Shepherds.

Heath and Rosa on the beach. They are Northern Inuit dogs. Heath (infront) is quite possibly the most awesome dog in existance, incredibly loving, intelligent and loves nothing more then to be around his people. Rosa is the bright red clown dog, so funny and such lovely shades of red!
