Pinterest • The world’s catalogue of ideas | Overlooking the Summer Isles | Overlooking the Summer Isles. The glorious weather certainly makes this viewpoint a thousand times better allowing you to see the island and mountains in the distance. This photograph was taken on the West Coast of Scotland in the hills above Altandhu.

Overlooking the Summer Isles | Still | "Still" is the name of the sculpture by Rob Mulholland which sits within the water of Loch Earn at St Fillans.

Still | Smoo Cave | Smoo Cave is a huge sea cave near Durness village in Sutherland, Scotland.

Smoo Cave | Eilean Donan Castle | Eilean Donan Castle looking fantastic on a clear autumns day. This was a 13 second exposure to slightly smooth the water but also to minimise the impact of the tourists who were milling about on the castle and the bridge. Upon first arriving I was wishing for a higher tide, but upon reflection (or not since the tide was out!) I actually like it this way with the burnt colours of the seaweed giving it that autumnal feeling.

Loch Earn | Sligachan | The fantastic scenery of the Isle of Skye. This image is one taken at Sligachan, looking along the river with the imposing mountains of Sgurr A Bhasteir and Sgurr Nan Gillean in the background.

Sligachan | Rainbow | One of the brightest rainbows I have seen, looked great against the dark skies and late evening sun.
