Philadelphus 'Virginal' Mock orange - deciduous, upright shrub that's fully hardy, but very vigorous, so needs to be given plenty of room to grow. Cut when half of flowerfs on branch have opened, in morning or evening. Remove lower foliage. Peel an inch of bark from base and slit stem ends. Stand in deep water for several hours.
