Dinosaur week: Fun & Simple dinosaur activity for kids! Maybe for older kids give each shape a numerical value and have them add how much their dino is worth. Can use with class to compare/contrast amounts, etc.
This has easily been the most popular enhancement so far this year! The children have affectionately named it the pom-pom game. You will need some cups (I got these funky looking monster ones from the pound shop), a marker pen.

Magic E and CVC I show the kids how to take cvc words and add a magic e to the end. We talk about how the e makes the vowel shout its name. I make an anchor chart of words with the kids. This chart grows as the week goes on.
