L to R: Writer/co-producer/director M. Night Shyamalan, co-star/music composer Saleka Shyamalan (as Saleka). As her father and sister pursued filmmaking, Saleka went into music. She has several albums to her name and when her dad was making a movie involving a concert, he asked her to provide the songs and act in the movie.

L to R: Writer/director Ishana Night Shyamalan, co-producer M. Night Shyamalan. Ishana attended NYU's School of the Arts like her father did and worked with her dad as a second unit director for several of his films. When she developed this supernatural horror movie, she got Dakota Fanning to star and her dad to produce. The film earned negative reviews and broke even at the box office.

Co-writer/co-producer/director M. Night Shyamalan on the set of "Knock at the Cabin", 2023.
Shyamalan found a script co-written by Steve Desmond and Michael Sherman that was based on the 2018 novel "The Cabin at the End of the World" by Paul G. Tremblay. Shyamalan wanted to produce the film only, then rewrote the script, and then wanted to direct it.
