Natural mosquito spray

Listerine Mosquito Repellent. The best way of getting rid of mosquitoes is Listerine, the original medicinal type. The Dollar Store-type works, too. I was at a deck party awhile back, and the bugs were having a ball biting everyone. A man at the party sprayed the lawn and deck floor with Listerine, and the little demons disappeared. The next year I filled a 4-ounce spray bottle and used it around my seat whenever I saw mosquitoes. And voila! That worked as well.

Tip of the Day: If your yard is overrun with bugs, you’ll love this all-natural insect spray to repel mosquitoes, flies, bees, and other insects. In your blender, combine 1 small onion, 1 head of peeled garlic, 4 cups water, and 1½ tablespoons cayenne pepper. After blending, add a tablespoon liquid dish soap and strain into a spray bottle. Spray around your deck and anywhere else you’d like to repel bugs—it’s safe for kids and pets! Spray around your yard once a week to keep bugs away for good.
Swarms of Mosquitoes on my patio led me to an old home remedy - Did you know that chopped up garlic makes mosquitoes disappear? I buy minced, dried garlic at local Fiesta grocery stores and sprinkle it around on my patio. I have to stand back as I am using it - mosquitoes will literally swarm out of your plants and bushes to get away from the smell. Works like a charm!!

I do this monthly for $5
