1953 Chevrolet 3100 Pickup 235 CI - The 1st non-tractor vehicle I was ever responsible for maneuvering. I was 8. My father was quite annoyed that I "wasn't driving yet." Ours was a rural life, with 10 miles between us & a doctor or emergency room, so it was past time for me to "step-up." The problem was I just couldn't see well enough outside the vehicle. Didn't get glasses until I was 11. They helped quite a lot.
