Grade 1 - Earth and Space Science- Daily and seasonal changes. Have them brainstorm words and ideas that go with each season. If the classroom is having daily weather updates have the students predict the next season

Cute. Could make one each year. :)

Put your mark on the Christmas tree with some homemade ornaments! Use cornstarch, baking soda, and water to make your own clay, then roll it out onto a lined baking sheet and use holiday cookie cutters to make different shapes. Bake them for about an hour, then have fun decorating with shiny ribbon, sequins, paint, and anything else you can think of!

Peppermint Candy Christmas Ornaments - These edible ornaments are simple and thrifty. Make a dozen ornaments for just a dollar per bag of peppermints. One peppermint, melted in a tiny cookie cutter, would make a cute cupcake topper.
