Bow Bridge, Langport, Somerset, this version was built in 1840 The previous bridge had 9 arches and therefore when the barges from  Bridgwater arrived at Langport wharf the cargo had to be unloaded,  carried under the arches and put onto smaller barges which could go  down them into town
