I've had over a thousand cups of masala chai in my life. Strong, sweet, pipping hot. This one time, after a day long shop-a-thon my sisters had dragged me to, I made myself a cup of the Chymey Masala Chai. 4 minutes of the tea bag in boiling water & you can actually smell the cinnamon, the cardamom and the nutmeg. I went with about three sips of milk and two generous spoons of sugar. Packed with goodies yet uniquely light, I believe, it has the powers of a therapeutic body massage.
One summer when I was working from home, I picked this up from my stash. The tea bag needs a good 3 minutes in the cup. My signal was a familiar smell of Darjeeling that took me right back to my grandfather's. On most days, i'd skip the milk, add a dash of honey and sit back with the daily crossword and a sense of belonging. Just like I first did with my grandfather. Back in Darjeeling. This is my deal with the muscatel flavored cup of the Chymey Darjeeling Black Tea.
