Lost In The Woods

A misty morning in Stanmer Park, Brighton. This grand old avenue of Beech trees was a lot more substantial until the storm in 1987 knocked half of them over. The remains of several fallen trees still lie to either side of the path, carved into seats or sculptures, or rotting slowly into the ground. I've wanted to get a shot of them in the mist for a while but these woods are a little lower down the hill and don't get foggy enough as often as other parts of the park. Two dog walkers wandered…
