Da Culture of Cute by TADO. The image is very striking because of the bold, bright colours used. A lot of them are used and the lines used to draw the characters are very thick which makes the image stand out even more. There are a lot of things going on in this image, and this world looks like it very energetic with colourful characters. I think that this has been planned out on paper, but fully made on Photoshop/Illustrator. I have selected this work because I like the style of cartons…
Experimental typography candy by samuel mensah-bonsu. The piece is called I Want Candy. They have placed sweets in the shape of the word I Want Candy and most likely had a outline to put them on. I chose this work because it is creative using food for typogrpahy and colourful. I also like the syle of font used to create the image.
Sniper In Terracotta by l.e.t., in Dusseldorf,Germany. A stencil has been used, which must have taken to cut all the detail in it. It shows a possible soldier in camouflage , and the artist may be trying to send the message that society is surrounded by violence, and it is not alien in western countries. I selected it because looked funny and very random.
Metabiotica by Alexandre Orion. They have used stencil and I think that there is a old woman standing in between the wings. She looks like she is part of the stencil and is like a interactive stencil. I have selected this image because the i like the way the black and white makes the stencil stand out.
Beggar by Blek Le Rat. They have used a stencil, which was made digitally using a colour image and spray painted onto that. I have selected thiswork because I found out that Blek Le Rat was the main pioneer of stencil art and apparently inspired Banksy. I would like to create a stencil like this.
Vogue february by Inge Jacobson. I like this image because it has a lot of detail considering it is a stitch. She has knitted the image and looks like it could be a real vogue cover. I have selected this image because it is a good collage which looks hard to do.
Maricor/Maricar Go Play. The message is quite simple and the colour and typography embody that. It has been stitched with many different colour and patterns and it reminds me of mark making. I have selected this image because it looks like you are looking through a hole through the letters.
Adriana Munoz. She has used mixed media by using illustration then adding some features with stitching. I looks like there is a lot of skill involved. I have selected this image because it is a detailed image with a lot of imagination and colour used.
