"For me fashion is an expression of art that is very closely related both to me and to my body. I see it as an expression of identity combined with desire, moods and a cultural setting" - Iris Van Herpen
Fashion designer Iris van Herpen is a talent to watch with her avant garde take on fashion, and stints at Victor & Rolf and Alexander Mcqueen under her belt. For her last collection, Iris translates the concept of mummification into intricate techniques of wrapping and twisting cords of gold, bronze, and cream leather to form her garments. The result is a breathtakingly sculptural collection.
