This photo is part of the 2014 Valentine’s Day card collection. I found the rocks on a beach in Marblehead, Massachusetts, and then designed and painted them. For the photography I used whatever was on hand for backgrounds. Since I had done most of the painting in the kitchen this lead me to my different varieties of dried beans. THE ONE THING I LOVE IS TO CREATE ARTWORK THAT MAKE PEOPLE SMILE. Up for adoption is a hand painted Petrified Pet. I try to leave as much of the natural rock as possible. It makes it much more interesting when you can see the texture and color of the rock. He'll be happy inside the house on a window sill, by the fireplace, as a paper weight or a door stop.
