Maryland Cottage Garden Design on Instagram: "Save your hydrangeas and roses from black spot the organic way! 🌹 🌸 All it takes is horticultural cornmeal. Your first choice should be horticultural cornmeal versus corn starch, cooking cornmeal, or corn gluten, because it’s milled from the outer shell of the kernel and contains more protein that feeds the beneficial fungi that outcompetes black spot. 💪🏻 The second choice is livestock feed cornmeal, and the third, cooking cornmeal. It’s hard to find horticultural cornmeal locally, but you can shop this via the shop link in my bio. I have that, livestock feed cornmeal, and cooking cornmeal linked and all will help fight black spot! To use, apply one cup per each large shrub. One bag has enough for 16 cups—or 16 large roses or hydrangeas.

Most like a fair amount of shade. No need to fertilize! 1- White Tiarella ‘Running Tapestry’ 2&3- Lamium ‘Purple Dragon’ 4- Lysimachia nummularia (Golden Creeping Jenny) 5&6- Mazus reptans 7&8- Heuchera 9- Heuchera & Acorus ‘Ogon’ (Sweet Flag) 10- Stachys ‘He
