One of England's most beautiful Medieval cathedrals and one of the finest examples of decorated Gothic architecture in this country. Famous for its two Norman towers, impressive west front carvings and the longest unbroken stretch of Gothic vaulting in the world. English Travel Poster produced in 1927 for the Great Western Railway (GWR) to encourage rail travel to the Cornish Port of Penzance. Due to its pleasant all year round climate and the good fishing, hunting, golf and tennis it became popular as a Resort and was promoted as ‘The Ideal Holiday Centre’.
