Warli art is the traditional art by the Warlis, a tribe found in the coastal areas of Maharastra and Gujarat in India. I am fond of this art that uses squares and circles to represent different forms of nature. So, I thought why not make it on the pebble stones that were collected on the seashore. Materials Used: Stone, Sakura pen (from a craft store).
The Saura Tribe is one of the oldest documented tribes in India, from Odissa. Like the Warli they traditionally paint wall murals, But they use "a fish-net approach" - of painting from the border inwards. Also called ikons (or ekons) they hold religious significance for the Sauras.
