Ever since I bought my very first print (by Robert Hodgell) and known of the work of Walter Anderson, I've loved linocuts. Excellent website for linocuts, excellent images of steps this artist takes to create wonderful images
I have decided to make another bookmark! This bookmark was made using 2 linoleum blocks, printed by hand on my etching press. I used Arches rag paper which is pretty sturdy and completely archival. It is standard bookmark size 2 1/4 x 7 1/4 and would fit into any bookmark sleeve. Personally I think it would be a great bookmark for a cookbook. How many favorite recipes are marked with scraps of paper and post its...? Maybe its time for something more classy.
