Thursday afternoon craft class

My lovely friend teaches a craft class for seniors at an assisted living home every week. Our children attend the class and help the seniors with the crafts - beautiful relationships have blossomed. I am always looking for ideas for the seniors and their helpers!

Have you seen these pretty "dinner scarves" that are adult bibs in disguise? Dimensions are available on the DinerWear website. Fabulous!
Charlie Brown Medley - The Piano Guys
Have you heard these guys? Amazing! Charlie Brown Medley - ThePianoGuys - this video made me cry because they were so connected with the seniors.
Jesus answered, “Whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst.” John 4:14 A Living Water well for our craft camp this summer. Thanks, God, for refreshing us when we turn to You.

Love the watermelon color theme in this wreath. Great for a summer door decoration.

This wreath on etsy is beautiful. The seniors in our class could use their felt flowers to make a mini-wreath for their doors. When we made the flowers, the bottoms were pretty flat so they would glue well to the wreath with a hot glue gun.
Most inspiring pictures and photos!
When my very crafty 11 yr old daughter and I tried to make these flowers from paper, it didn't work well. It was hard to glue them together. The felt was a lot easier, even my 6 yr old son was successful.

Cute snowman - love the ear muffs. For seniors, let's use the technique that makes multiple pom poms at one time.
NameBright - Domain Expired
An easy, fun craft that can be personalized for each senior. What if we tipped the branches with different colors? If individuals wanted, they could add pom poms or glitter, but even the simple version is lovely.

Love this darling Christmas Angel Ornament. Super glue a wooden ball on top of an upside down flower. Glue on some hair. Use gold pipe cleaner to make a Halo. Add bows, and use a ribbon to make a loop to hang the ornament. I'm going to watch for clearance flowers in the spring to save costs.
502 Bad Gateway
Beautiful leaves made with watercolors and crayon resist - such a great craft for all ages. Our seniors have child helpers. The seniors can draw and paint, the kids can cut out the leaves.
Angelina La Dawn Tomato
Gorgeous watercolor fall leaves from Angelina la Dawn. Angelina used art masking fluid to create the veins in the leaves. For the seniors, we will try the old fashioned white crayon resist. Thanks, Angelina, beautiful work!
In the Art Room: Leaf Relief
Obviously a fantastic art teacher, Cassie Stephens created this Leaf Relief project for her students. The seniors will love the mix of nature and fine art. Thanks, Cassie!
