Guided Math - Tunstall's Teaching Tidbits
This year, I have taken my years of math lesson plans and created a day by day guide for whole group and small group instruction! It’s been therapeutic for me to go day by day and create a cohesive learning guide complete with whole group and small group materials for each day. There have been […]
Strategy Grouping Template for Reading, Writing & Math
Happy Friday!! Yesterday I talked about different types of lesson planning sheets, and even gave you a copy of my lesson planning sheets. Another thing I used last year was a Strategy Group Planning Sheet for Reading. I came up with the idea towards the middle to end of the year, and I wish I had come up with it earlier. I have found it very effective at reaching students who wouldn't normally speak up for help, as well as providing extensions for students who "just get it." Below are the templates I've used…
2 Literacy Teachers - Teaching Every Child to Read
Happy Wednesday everyone!! Lindsey here and I am so excited to share with you how I have implemented guided math this year! Here's a little background...last year I was really frustrated with my math time. We spent a lot of time whole group and I felt like my kiddos who were struggling and my kiddos who needed enrichment were being left out. I was pulling groups when I could, but overall...just frustration. SO...this year I decided on trying out guided math. It is working out great for my…
