This was a very sacred spot, and the most atmospheric in all of India that I came across. Raining with the fires ablaze. Note the logs on the boats for more fire all the time. It was said that families saved for years for this very privledge. You can see people mourning their loved ones on this spot - hard to describe how moving it all was. They watched in silence as you could only imagine the years, and the emotion, and the closure that coming to this venerable spot brought them.
