Doradus nebula - This is a Hubble Space Telescope image of a pair of star clusters that are believed to be in the early stages of colliding. The clusters lie in the gigantic 30 Doradus Nebula, which is 170,000 light-years from Earth. - Credit: NASA, ESA et al

This new NASA/ESA Hubble Space Telescope image shows ghostly green filaments, lying within galaxy UGC 7342. This filament was illuminated by a blast of radiation from a quasar — a very luminous and compact region that surrounds the supermassive black hole at the centre of its host galaxy. Its bright green hue is a result of ionised oxygen, which glows brightly at green wavelengths. http://www.spacetelescope.org/images/heic1507e/

(Personal note. I love finding new images of the Carina Nebula. It is, by far, my favorite.)
