"Out, damned spot! Out, I say! One, two." (Act 5 scene 1) This line shows that Lady Macbeth is having nightmares and she is tortured in imagination, because of what she said to Macbeth before Duncan's murder. Lady Macbeth falls asleep and she tries to wash away imagined blood from her hands and she keeps hearing what Macbeth is saying about the past murders.
