Shortly before his death, the Romanian sculptor Constantin Brancusi donated his studio and all of its contents to the French government on the condition that they reconstruct his studio as part of the Musée National d'Art Moderne. Honouring his wishes, his recreated studio, which includes various cast of his sculptures as well as tools, photographs and other objects, is on display at the Centre Georges Pompidou.
