The Sower By Liz Lemon Swindle A man sows seeds in a field. Some fall among thorns & are choked out. Some fall on stony ground & start to grow, but when the heat of the sun beats down they do not have deep enough roots to survive. Still other seeds fall on good ground where they bring forth fruit. The Lord teaches us that the seeds represent the Word of God & the ground represents the hearts of those who hear the word. http://www.foundationarts.com/p-30895-the-sower.aspx?affiliateid=10199
Liz Lemon Swindle - Mary's Heart: ART
Every mother and child share a bond which remains unbroken. From his birth in the manger, all through his life, death and resurrection, Mary was instrumental in her son's years on earth. This striking image of mother and child captures a moment in the newborn life of Christ, and provides us all with a reminder of where we came from and who made us what we are today. - LLS
He Is Risen By Liz Lemon Swindle The greatest message of hope is not found in the crucifixion but in the empty tomb. When Mary arrived on that first Easter morning she found the stone rolled away and two angels standing inside. One turned to her and said, “Why seek ye the living among the dead? He is not here, but is risen” - Luke 24:5-6 http://www.foundationarts.com/p-32134-he-is-risen.aspx?affiliateid=10199

Ye Are The Salt Of The Earth By Liz Lemon Swindle "Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? It is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out..." - Matthew 5:13. His disciples realized that salt loses its savor when mixed with something else. They further understood its cleansing power and its importance in adding flavor to life. http://www.foundationarts.com/p-25863-ye-are-the-salt-of-the-earth.aspx?affiliateid=10199
Parable: The Prodigal Son By Liz Lemon Swindle I will arise and go to my father, and will say unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and before thee, And am no more worthy to be called thy son: make me as one of thy hired servants. And he arose, and came to his father. But when he was yet a great way off, his father saw him, and had compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him. http://www.foundationarts.com/p-24368-parable-the-prodigal-son.aspx?affiliateid=10199

Liz Lemon Swindle - Why Weepest Thou?: ART

Liz Lemon Swindle - Mother: ART
I created this work because I find great joy in exploring the relationships between our Savior and the people he knew and loved. This wonderfully tender piece captures the great respect he had for his mother. In Aramaic, his spoken language, he would have called her "inta" (woman) however the title Mother connects the painting more to our modern culture and language. - LLS
Liz Lemon Swindle - Seeking the One: ART
When I paint I always start with the eyes, because they are the soul of each painting. Each day as I came in to the studio I had an overwhelming feeling that he was looking at me. Some days I did not feel comfortable looking into his eyes and avoided them, knowing I could do more or be more than I was. Other days I felt comfortable around him and drew great strength in looking into his eyes. As the painting neared completion I started showing it to others and I was amazed to find that they…
