Mix grass seed in with potting soil. Fill up a nylon. Tie into segments with string to make a 'caterpillar." Soak in water till saturated. Then let the kids spray it with water every day after and watch it grow. When the grass gets "too long" let the kids give it a "haircut."

With Earth Day around the corner I wanted to set myself a challenge – to create a cress world map. Making the world would be difficult in itself but for me the challenge would be to grow the cress

Where do seeds come from investigation.... This started out as a tray with a whole butternut squash, tomatoes, peppers, cucumber, melon and pomegranate.... The children then cut each thing open to discover and collect the seeds from inside them....(the seeds have now been put to dry so they can be planted) once the seed investigation was complete the children had great fun just cutting!!
