Vintage Las Vegas...A showgirl statue twirled above a neon billboard for the Sahara at the Chateau Marmont on Sunset Blvd in Los Angeles, 1950s–1960s. She’s seen in the opening of The Stripper (1963); held Liberace’s candelabra for a publicity stunt; inspired Gore Vidal’s Myra Breckinridge; and was lampooned by a statue of Rocky & Bullwinkle directly across the street.
