Portland sculptor Ron Ulicny has made a living for himself creating just such artworks. From high heel roller skates to a sink spewing Scrabble letters, his art objects frequently require a double take and often leave you with a smile, be it in humor or wonder.

Creative Sculptures by Ron Ulicny I like this sculpture because it shows the guitar separated into different pieces. It signifies that music is not just one structured thing, it can be broken up into different forms.

DAVID HOCKNEY  Hockney creates distortion with photography non digitally which almost seems to invent a new medium. His collage and overlap of photographs creates a surprising and innovative use of photos and allows the viewer to enter the image through multiple perspectives.
