Old Telephone on display at the Railway section
This is the telephone we have on display at the recreated railway station. The telephone was introduced in the 1880s by Alexander Graham Bell, however PCO, Public Call Office was introduced in India in the 1980s, and such booths revolutionised the lives of common people in India.
Jung Steam Locomotive
1953 Jung Steam locomotive was built by the Arnold Jung Lokomotivfabrik, a locomotive manufacturer established in 1885 in Germany. Standing tall at 12.5 feet and 31 feet long, operating on a 5'6”-track gauge and carries 1,320 gallons of water, this only functional steam locomotive now.

Ball Token Machine
Neale’s Ball token instrument has been a safety device used by Railways for signaling trains. Invented by J.E Neale after whom the device is named, this system consisted of a pair of electrically connected instruments to allow the flow of balls, this system was to be lined on single line sections of railways. The last train service that was provided with signals using this type of instrument was in 2016 in Palakkad Junction in the southern part of India.

Wooden Bodied Tram
An old surviving wooden bodied tram of 1940 from Calcutta is a fine example of living transport heritage of India. This electrically driven carriage was once a fragment of the hustle & Bustle of the streets of Calcutta. The Tram Car displayed in the museum takes you to the Journey down the memory lane. The archival photographs and videos inside the tram car illustrate the history and timeline of trams in India.
