Margaret Cecil, Countess of Ranelagh (1672-1728)... a British courtier and daughter of James Cecil, 3rd Earl of Salisbury and his wife Margaret, a daughter of the Earl of Rutland. She married three times. Her first husband, John Stawell, 2nd Baron Stawell died in 1692 leaving no issue. Her second marriage to Richard Jones, 1st Earl of Ranelagh also produced no issue. With her third husband, George Thomas Downing, they had a daughter, Sarah, and a son, George.
