Hollywood 1879; ca. 1946; One-Piece Dress. Wide four-piece skirt with yoke joins bodice at waistline. Low cut-out neckline with or without dickey with roll collar and tie. Long sleeves flared above buttoned cuff band and short sleeves.

Simplicity 3883; ©1941; Misses' and Women's Evening Dress. The long, fitted bodice, cut in bias sections for figure-flattery, is joined to the full, gored skirt in a pointed seam below the natural waistline.
