4 month old sleep

I know sleep training is tough. I've been there before. My 4 months old wasn't "sleeping like a baby". You know what I mean. But I refused to just let her cry it out. After a lot of research, I came up with a gentle no cry sleep training method that was the most successful and didn't require to leave her in the room alone. I'll tell you in details what I did.

4 month sleep regression Have you heard of the 4 month regression? My guess is, if you're reading this blog- you probably have. 🙂 I find parents usually fall into one of two categories: Either they've heard about the 4 month sleep regression and they've been just waiting for and stressing for when baby's sleep will get worse... Or they didn't know anything about the 4 month regression until sleep started going downhill. When I was a first time mom, I fell into the second category.

Happening around 3-4 months, this is the first of the sleep regressions and is often times the hardest one for parents. During this regression, your baby, who was previously sleeping longer stretches at night, will begin waking more frequently throughout the night and struggling at nap times, often only taking 30-45 minute naps or resisting naps entirely. Why does the 4 month regression happen? By around 4 months old, your baby is going through a lot of developmental changes.
