Julius John Lankes (1884-1960) was a Woodcut Print Artist, Illustrator, Author & Professor. He was heavily influenced by William Morris + The Arts & Crafts Movement. His 1300+ works helped elevate woodblock prints beyond illustrations in books to recognition as a fine art. He worked closely with Robert Frost, Sherwood Anderson & Beatrix Potter.
