One of the first steps we need to make as we begin on our self-love journey is to let go of the past. So many of us hold onto resentment, shame and guilt from our past mistakes and this isn’t ok. If you feel like you are in a constant cycle of being ashamed of who you once were or the mistakes you made then you need to stop now. We are all human and we all make decisions that don’t always work out. I was held back by my past for way too long and my life really opened up once I let go.
It's okay if youre not ready. I's okay if youre still figuring it out. If youre still collecting the pieces. Still trying to move on. Take your time. It may not all reveal itself as fast you'd want it to. Growth takes time. Trusting your feelings is a process. And knowing when to be comfortable with who you are takes a lifetime. Remember this when you feel broken. I's okay. I's okay if you take longer than others. Longer than expected. This is your life. And yours alone. Don't be ashamed of it. Cry if your must. Let it all out. And don't hold it in. This is your life goddamn it! And no one should ever interfere with how you heal. Ever. - America’s best pics and videos
