When the upper body is bent at half, the back is represented by the big curved line from the neck to the pelvis, and the front is the line from the chest and folds at the belly. If the upper body is bent further, the flow will be the same, but the thorax area will seem shorter because of the perspective.

When the torso is bent backwards significantly, the pelvis has to protrude as the legs remain pulled backwards. It will look stable even if only one leg is pulled behind.
