What’s a book that surprised you? I can't seem to escape the talk about Butcher and Blackbird by @brynne_weaver , so I bumped it to the top of my TBR. I wanna know what all the "ice cream, iykyk" posts are about! .....or do I? 😅 I'm not usually big on dark romance because every time I've tried, dark is code for the MMC is a jerk. But I was pleased to find in the sample that Rowan seems to be an okay guy.... Aside from the whole 🔪 thing, I guess.

It’s time! 🤭 Leather & Lark has been one of my most anticipated releases this year and I am so ready to get into it! Butcher & Blackbird was a phenomenal read, I laughed, I cringed… I ate it tf up and I don’t know how I still manage to eat ice cream after it but I do & I am ready to have new foods become questionable for me! 😜

Have any books surprised you lately? So… Butcher and Blackbird, hey? 😂 I was seeing this EVERYWHERE and I am by no means a dark romance girly so I was hesitant, but I also heard it’s hella funny and anyone that knows me knows I have dark humour so that was all I needed to be convinced. I was not disappointed! Firstly, the romance was really quite bizarrely cute? Was it gruesome? Yes. I’m not sure I’ll eat orzo or ice cream anytime soon… 👀 but it was funny and really entertaining to read…
