In continuing to look at a centralized approach to patient visibility I would use the "combine" element from SCAMPER to utilize the concept of having a circular unit with a centralized nursing station for increased access for both nursing and patient needs. This eliminates blind spots, inability to hear patient or monitors clearly, and others nurses requiring assistance urgently. These designs are best served in high acuity/census settings.
