Los Cognados. Students look to find new cognate patterns. If it works for at least 3 different words they write it on a sticky note for me to check. If it works we add the pattern in marker to a new square. Throughout the day during independent time, if students notice a cognate that follows one of the patterns they come up and add it to the chart.
