One Community Health (OCH) Hood River is an integrated health facility focusing on whole-person team-based care. Scott Edwards Architecture and the project team reimagined and replaced the existing building on site with a new award-winning facility that allows OCH to better serve the community.
When we think about construction, we are often inspired by dramatic exteriors and modern awe-inspiring exterior building facades. What we need to realize, what happens inside is more important, as that is where we spend the bulk of our time. The health of the space, the mood it creates, its functionality and efficiency are all important factors.
Kaiser Permanente selected one of my thistle images printed on glass for this respite area at their Maryland medical center.
