What had started as some commute doodle became a species which evolved from the Kanerodoptrix and partly occupies the ecological nice of the elephant. It was only a short evolutionary path from the Kanerodoptrix' dextrous feeler to a proper trunk, and the carnivoran ancestry of this creature is still reflected in its anatomy. There's still much to develop around this species, but I like the idea already. :)
